Historically, it was both the first Daylesford property to have electricity connected and Daylesford’s first fine dining restaurant. It boasts many of the original features for which it has been celebrated for over 150 years. Today, Holyrood house sits comfortably as a Private hotel. It is foremost about service and hospitality. Holyrood House is designed to be a place to unwind. With a focus on unmatched guest experience, it is no surprise that dining options are available for your pleasure. Enjoy a full a la carte breakfast/brunch with a different menu each day of your visit. A complimentary, and very elegant afternoon tea is served daily with Saturday being truly a special experience with a High tea service and gleaming silverware, specialty tea blends and locally roasted coffee. Venetian martini and Champagne also available to spoil yourself with. We know you deserve it!

Nightly we offer a complimentary wine tasting of locally produced still and sparkling wines with mineral waters also available to enjoy as a pre-dinner drink. With an abundance of local fine dining establishments to choose from, don’t let the canapé or gourmet cheeses and our own quince paste affect your appetite before heading off to dinner. Complimentary Coffee and specialty teas are always available throughout your visit.

Fine Dining

Breakfast is taken in the main dining room, however we also offer two other spaces for more intimate dining options. "Whole of house" groups will love the option of an in house butler style dinner.

High Tea

Afternoon tea is truly an occasion to be apart of at Holyrood. Antique silverware, fine china, a specialist Tea menu and plenty of mid afternoon treats to tide you through the day.
