The Holyrood Story
It was a natural progression for Andrew and Keith to bring Holyrood House back to life, and better than ever before.
Andrew, a qualified chef and later a butler to one of Australia’s prominent families, whilst Keith, with decades of customer service experience in the retail industry, have made it shine. Our own piece of Downton Abbey if you will!Holyrood was firstly a family home 1864-1912 from that time until now, it has been in almost continual use as a guesthouse and restaurant.
We have used our time in service and our own travels abroad, to create a small elegant Country house Hotel. When we travel we look for unobtrusive, dedicated and personalised guest service and it is clear our guests enjoy it also.
We unashamedly celebrate Daylesford, this wonderful region in the goldfields of Victoria. A place of character and beauty. With an abundance of local high quality produce. A region of artisans. Producers of some truly elegant wines and growing organic produce. It is a joy to share this space with you, our guests.
